I talk to an Angel
I do it, sometimes
I talk in a language
that sounds just like chimes
He’s here on my left side
my right’s joining hands
Rain hitting the pavement,
memory resides.
I talk to an Angel
he’s more part of me
his voice in my inside
his eyes always here
He’s gone for a travel
I can’t understand
I walk on the gravel
with flowers in hand
I talk to an angel
I’m sure he can hear.
Is there any father
caressing your head?
Is there any amber?
Is there any shoes?
Is there any guitar?
Light so diffuse?
I’ll lay down these flowers,
look up at the sky,
and talk to my angel,
feel peaceful somehow.
